1. What are cookies?

2. Categories of cookies we use

Strictly necessary cookies — essential for the website to function, such as CSRF tokens, session cookies for the client portal, and routing cookies. These cannot be switched off.

Functional / preference cookies — remember choices you make to improve your experience. On our homepage we use Local Storage (not cookies) to remember your selected language and theme; no consent is required as this data never leaves your device.

Analytics cookies — help us understand how visitors interact with our website by collecting aggregated, anonymised information, used only to improve the website.

Marketing / advertising cookies — set by our advertising partners to build a profile of your interests and measure ad performance across sites. They do not store directly identifying information but uniquely identify your browser.

3. Your choices and consent

When you first visit our website, we display a cookie consent banner. You can Accept all (enables all categories), Reject non-essential (restricts to strictly necessary only), or Manage preferences (granular control by category).

5. Advertising platform pixels

To measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns we run on behalf of clients (and our own promotional activity), we deploy tracking pixels from advertising platforms. These enable conversion tracking, retargeting of past visitors (where you have consented), and lookalike audience discovery.

6. Cookies in our client portal

When you log into the Convertec client portal (app.convertec.cloud), a secure, HttpOnly, SameSite=Lax session cookie authenticates your login and expires when you sign out or after 30 days of inactivity, along with CSRF protection and callback-url cookies. None of these are analytics or marketing cookies — they are strictly necessary for the portal to function securely and cannot be disabled.

7. Data retention and updates

Cookie lifetimes vary by type and are listed in the table below. Consent records are stored for 12 months and then refreshed. We will update this policy when we add new cookies or tracking technologies, or when the law requires changes, and update the "Last updated" date accordingly.
